HOW LONG DO I BOOK?
It depends on what you want to try to catch. In general, the longer the trip the better the chance of catching more fish. The rule of thumb is: "however long of a trip you are on, you will spend ½ of that time with lines in the water and the other half coming and going, as well as moving around during the day. The thing to keep in mind is that we cannot get to the same fishing grounds during an 8-hour trip that we can during a 12-hour trip. It makes a big difference having that 10 to 12 hour trip to work with. It can make for truly awesome days on the Gulf.
HALF-DAY CHARTERS
(4 Hours)
4-hour trips are a great introduction for families, young kids and those who have not been deep-sea fishing before. On a typical 4-hour fishing trip you can either troll with live bait for King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel and Bonita or bottom fish near shore for Vermilion and White Snapper and Triggerfish.
ALL-DAY CHARTERS
(6 to 8 Hours)
6 Hours: Generally we will do bottom fishing for a variety of snapper including Vermillion Snapper, Red Snapper, Scamp, Red Grouper and Triggerfish. We will also Troll for King Mackerel, Wahoo and Mahi Mahi.
8 Hours: Eight hours is the minimum time needed for Amberjack fishing. We will also fish for different snapper and grouper species. This is a combo trip where we can bottom fish as well as troll for King Mackerel and Wahoo.
EXTENDED-DAY CHARTERS
(10 to 12 Hours)
All-day bottom fishing allows enough time to specifically target grouper species.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel within 14 business days of your fishing charter, you can be charged up to the full rate unless we are able to rebook the charter. We will do our best to rebook the trip in order to avoid any charges to you.
